The buzz surrounding the recent awards show has been intense, especially after host Geoff Keighley shared a puzzling photo of a strange statue. The mystery is finally answered. Larian Studios is developing a completely new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was showcased with a audacious trailer featuring memorable imagery, from a figure engulfed in flames to scenes of revelry and the literal opening of infernal gates.
A Different Direction
For those anticipating Divinity Original Sin 3, that is not happening. The studio clarified that a follow-up to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not currently in development.
Nevertheless, the developer described this new Divinity as a continuation of the main series. This choice of words suggests that the team could be designing a faster-paced experience instead of another tactical title. Currently, we can only guess, as only a cinematic trailer is available.
